A friend and I just got back from IHOP and while we were there a group of High Schoolers came in. Well the place was pretty mellow until this group came in and then they started trying to talk over each other and calling each other f@ggot(I swear I heard the word f@ggot 50 times in 15 mins). I don't remember being like that is high school, i realize they are just kids but damn have some respect for other people and watch your language around kids.

IHOP after 2 pm no longer belongs to people of a civil nature. I'm afraid that's just a fact of life.

I can't think of how you should have retaliated against them though... it's toooooo late.

I typically open/hold doors, say sir, ma'am, please, and thank you, and the like. I'm fairly quiet and low key unless I've had a couple :beer:s.

I can't stand college-aged people either... and I just graduated. :) People our age have no manners.

Same here. Also college kids tend to annoy the hell out of me. Especially the misunderstood tortured art student rejects.

No. People are rude. People always think they're right. People have no respect for other people's opinions. Now that's a fact of life. I can't stand teenagers. And I'm 18!

People don't have manners any more - and no, this doesn't just apply to teenagers, but their parents, too. :(

This morning, I was at 7-11 getting a cup of coffee. I was heading out to my car when I noticed a mini-van parked *very* close to the left side of my car. The mirrors had only a 3" gap between them - and clearly, I couldn't get into my vehicle. I waited a few minutes and then realized which lady owned it as I could see her shopping in the convenience store like she was in a regular grocery store. Finally, I walked into the store and announced: "Who owns the green minivan out front?" The lady appeared and told me it was hers. I asked her to move it so I could get my car out of the parking space. She went outside -- with a handfull of food items that she had not paid for yet. Clearly, her van was over the yellow parking line and invading my area. As she was getting into her van, she said: "You didn't have to get such an attitude about it." Now, I can't figure out where I had the attitude. Clearly, I waited a few minutes to see if she'd re-appear to get her van out of the way. Then, I just walked in the store and asked for the owner of the van to move it so I could get out. And, I'm the one who gets labeled a bad person?? What has happened to our society?? :( :(

Fvck her, knock her out next time she gives you grief. You should have said if you could park properly you wouldn't have had to call her out. Her fault.

People are just rude.

btw what is IHOP? I don't live in the states....

Just went down that road. Guess ya gotta blame the parents. My teens DO have manners!

I've noticed generally that teens and older people alike, don't identify themselves when they call on the phone. When did this go out of fashion?

Just slap them around.

I don't really understand people who see punks like that disturb everyone, and sit still; then they complain in the forums: people have no manners these days. I saw it so many times: some ghetto dipshit having fun in a bus/train, playing loud music/yelling with his friends/jumping around. And you can see on people's faces how much they hate these guys, yet everyone perefers to accept it rather than stand up and put these kids into their place...

People with no manners should be taught a lesson.

I guess they just assumed most people had caller ID and would know who was calling anyway.

-- Seriously, I can agree with you - I do find that most people don't identify themselves and it's frustrating for me to answer the phone when such an individual calls.
