I am taking a bunch of time off this month and plan on doing some little mods to personalize my DD and my toy.
Boxster- first gen snorkle mod-
http://www.pcars.us/10min-boxster-de-snorkel-hack-t3401.html
Took me all of five minutes and improved intake sound immensely. Butt Dyno agrees with actual dyno results. Improves low rpm torque and earlier power delivery through the powerband. 4-5 horses for free!!!!
I will take a picture of my actual intake next time I take the top off.
Exhaust- Previous owner replaced stock exhaust with oem sports exhaust from porsche. Compared to the other boxsters I drove this one sounded much better even thought the tips needs some work-I know I am a nub for listing something the PO did but I am proud of it nonetheless.
To do list:
Replacement shift boot and aftermarket shift knob. Original has heavy wear.
Paint wheels and touch up 3 curbed spots
Replacing stock head unit with aftermarket kenwood- doing tomorrow
Custom cup holders-NO GD CUP HOLDERS IN THIS CAR
I hope to be 100 percent with this list this month.
Here are really bad pictures of the calipers
Bad iphone pictures of car
2008 G35X
Just replaced all 4 rotors pads and full flush. Had less than 20 percent when purchased
Installing a mini itx or a umpc into glove box or trunk and integrating it with the factory screen. My journey model did not come with nav but has a nice screen that I can work with. I have a sony umpc 3800 touch screen that I am probably going to use. I can use a mac touch pad with those modded drivers and use it to command a car pc with Nav Ap. I keep a hotspot with me at all times for business so I can use that in car anytime.
Replacing stock y pipe with a magnaflow x-pipe. Read a nice write up on the g 35 forums where guys get nice sound some butt dyno goodness. I surmised the y pipe was a bit restrictive.
Oh also replacing the rims on the minivan too..
