Installed Manhunt again this week and was playing it, it has the basic save at the end of every level save, but it also has tapes you can pick up with give you saves. You can use them whenever you want, 1 save per tape. Kind of a cool idea don't remember seeing it in any other games. Makes sense too, maybe u don't want to save until after a certain point. Confused me for awhile because I was picking up "save points" but when I died it would start me at the beginning of the level again.

can't say too much great about the game besides that though.

Resident evil used type writer ink ribbon, which I think is pretty awesome. RE4, however, dropped this of course. I don't expect to see it in RE5

I miss that type of save system with RE. Made the game more suspenseful. I swear some people nowadays spend nearly as much time saving the game every 3 feet they move or pick something up then actually playing it now

I'd be happy if games saved to their install folder, and not "my document \ my games". :|

Now that MS is doing the 'games for windows' BS, I think that's the standard from now on :(

I save all the time mostly because I've played a lot of Oblivion/Morrowind. Those crash every few minutes sometimes, so you need to have a recent save handy.
