Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I was wondering the same thing.

A good friend of our family is selling 2008 car that may be perfect for our daughter and he said " make me an offer "...haven't been able to track down a lot of private sales info on it, so, I was simply hoping to make an offer based on a wholesale price + an ' X ' % premium.

Anyone that could run some Manheim Market Report wholesale numbers on this 2008 ( details to follow of course ) for me ?
 
no, but i have access to data from a smaller auction. I can look up sale prices over the past month or so.
 
I used to know some people that worked there. They do public auctions a couple times a year. If you don't want to wait, you have to go through a dealer and pay a finders fee.

Actually, a finders fee is a non-starter, as I've already found the car being sold privately ( by a friend )......... just need someone to share some recent wholesale auction values so I can have some valid ( and supportable ) ' counter-offers ' at the ready !!!:sneaky:😀
