The next step is to tax the service, service providers and the clients. Bam, help make up for the lost COVID revenue.
You don't think a piece of the Handmaid's Tale would be kind of wild and crazy?they'd prefer a world more like the Handmaid's Tale.

crypto is literally a waste of energy to produce absolutely nothing.Prostitution will always, always be a problem, and not because it's immoral, but because of the incredible amounts of unaccountable, untaxable money it can generate. People who make laws dont give a fuck about "morality", they are worried about more practical aspects of keeping power.
See, if you get the same amount of money from a "legitimate" business, then you have something to lose. You don't want to lose your dentist license, your factory, your prestigious office. But a hooker doesn't have any of these things to lose. And people in power know that when people have access to a "free" flow of money, bad shit happens.
A good escort can make a couple thousand bucks PER DAY. Nothing super-fancy, no "escort to the stars" situation, just a young girl with a fit bod and who isn't completely braindead or on drugs. And this isn't a working-to-the-bone scenario, either. A handful of clients per day.
And this cash comes without needing to pay machine software upgrades, licenses, rent on your yoga studio, workers wages, and yeah, no tax. Or some tax, but seriously HOW are you going to know, when it all takes place behind closed doors.
This money piles up pretty quickly and that's when people start trying to "invest" it. And that's how you get crime. I'm not saying it always happens, but you got five thousand hookers in a city, a few of those will get weird ideas.
It's the same reason they hate crypto, VPNs, online trading, any form of profit that does not come with a social burden is seen as dangerous.
Prosecute the pimps not the sex workers.
That’s my concern as well. If a woman wants to sell her body then I’m ok with that, but it’s the forced prostitution/sex trafficking that I am concerned about. Maybe sex workers should be registered.
The war on prostitution has gone as well as the war on drugs.

We need to start War On Drugs IIThe war on prostitution has gone as well as the war on drugs.
Except the war on drugs heavily focuses on the customer, while the war on prostitution has heavily focused on the provider. What do those have in common? They are the under privileged side of the transaction. The war on prostitution has gone as well as the war on drugs.
I've known multiple Hookers through my best friend's wife, none of them are making anywhere near a grand a day. I'm sure there are some high end escorts that make good money or have a sugar daddy situation, but most women working the street make shit money.Prostitution will always, always be a problem, and not because it's immoral, but because of the incredible amounts of unaccountable, untaxable money it can generate.
