It's way better but you have to use it like a suppository.

There are lots of different strains and Kush is a popular group of them.

Basically, when Nixon started the war on drugs and the Feds started to really crack down on pot smuggling, two things happened: Colombian drug smugglers switched from smuggling pot to cocaine, thereby creating the great Cocaine boom of the 70's and 80's, and American hippies and rednecks (and hippie rednecks) started to grow their own weed. This was also the time when the Organic Food movement really took off, leading to many hippies becoming experts in traditional horticultural techniques. Both the weed growing and the organic food growing were centered in the Pacific Northwest. Pot, naturally, benefited from this new found hippie expertize in horticulture.

Weed is very easy to hybridize by grafting different strains onto each other. So, for the last ~35 years hippies have been using hybridization techniques to make stronger and stronger strains of weed. The Kush branch is a family of those strains.

Higher potency that generic strains, and each little subset/strain is going to have a different ratio of the various cannabinoids. Different ratios of the component cannabinoids will produce a different "high", thus one can say each strain has a characteristic high relatively unique to that strain, or at least to strains that are similar to each other.

Add mango? It's a hybridized strain of Kush indica that happens to have a mango flavor. The stone will be heavy and down, like all indicas. This is why when I was a pothead I always preferred sativas like Haze for their uppity high.

Hey, I haven't smoked weed in 5 years; I just happen to know a lot about it from back when I did.

You don't have to click on the link, you know. Why don't you old curmudgeony bastards go to a dedicated forum and leave us, "dopers" and non-dopers alike, alone.

All the "flavor" bs people talk about I really don't get. I've smoked so many different strains "OMFG THIS ONE TASTES SWEET LIKE CANDY!" no it doesn't it, it might be slightly sweet, more in a citrusy way, but it all tastes like weed. Smell on the other hand is different, but smoke taste pfft all the same to me. It either tastes harsh and like crap or not harsh and only slightly like crap.

I wonder once Cali legalizes weed if we in Cali are the only ones who can openly talk about, where to get it, etc, it without getting banned or the thread getting locked?
