Manga = japanese comic books.

they range from kiddie crap like pokemon to very mature, both in gore, plotlines, and sexuality, like the manga Berserk (my personal favorite!) and pretty much range everything in between. there's literally a manga for every person, assuming they're willing to look past the "it's just a kid's comic book" stigma.

Assuming they're willing to look past great comics: Sandman, Preacher, Transmetropolitan, 100 Bullets, The Authority, Hellblazer, etc.
