I'm pulling the 9.2 ISOs down from ftp.math.utah.edu at ~ 7Mb/s

I love it when nobody is here yet in the morning and there is plenty of bandwidth to burn :D

I think it is supposed to be fixed now.

I downloaded a copy of 9.2 a few weeks ago and when I tried it, it would crash a few minutes into the install with some sort of fatal error. I might try this release. I heard there were a lot of bugs in the when it was first released, I wonder if tehy fixed anything other than the LG stuff.

Apt4Rpm is supposed to work with Mandrake but the Mandrake company doesn't support it (in more ways than one). The Mandrake supplied version is broken and the one from the site doesn't seem to be compatible with mandrake. Urpmi works swell though, as long as you use the GUI and get an updated urpmi source list (the site with the cgi app with all the sources is once again dead. Maybe I should make my own?).

No; technically the only one you need is the first, the second is additional packages, and the 3rd is the internationalization CD.

i'll feel safer downloading the first two then. everytime i try to do this during the installation it will ask me for the next cd and i didnt download it thinking i didnt need it

no- get the third because if you install a lot of additional packages it'll ask for the 3rd CD

I only use one cd and then I install everything else using the net.

um.. I only use one floppy and install everything else using the net. Sometimes I'm too lazy to download the iso's and burn them. ^.^
