Count me in as another vote for the ProCurve 2510G-48. I've used various types of ProCurve gear in over a dozen installs, and I've never been disappointed.

Edit: A Catalyst 2960G-48TC-L is more than twice as expensive as a ProCurve 2510G-48. Cisco is funny :awe:

Juniper EX3200-48T is in the ~$1800 price range and will do all you want and more. Plus, it runs Junos....

yeah just make sure you take into consideration any support packs as part of pricing. advanced ship overnight replacement - yadda -

2510G-48 runs ios-like for telnet/ssh, has a nice java based web interface for those who don't like sho int stylee. smnp/etc.

here's one thing i'll tell you - make sure if you go gigabit that your entire platform is gigabit. you get weird nagle issues when you go 1000 to 100(or 10) under certain circumstances makes a slower than 100 rate choppy flow pattern. do not use flow control as one receiver could choke a server from everyone.
