Man who needs a heart transplant is refused because he won't get the covid vaccine.

BUTCH1

Lifer
This 31yr old dude needs a heart transplant, he's to weak to even leave the hospital but now he's been passed over because he will not accept a covid vaccine. Dr's say that because a transplant patient need many drugs to shut down the immune system going through the lengthy procedure for any knucklehead who won't get all the vaccine shots is a "waste of time" and instead give the donor heart to another person. Oh, guy has 2 young kids
and another on they way..

Hm, an almost certain imminent death, or a vaccine that's been taken by a staggering amount of people... I just don't know!
He's as good as dead now, donor hearts don't just pop up every day and now he's last in line. Gotta love his creepy father, "his body his choice", OK then, we'll have that planted on his tombstone, "never let anyone tell him what to do!"

At least he can pass peacefully in the knowledge that socialism will take care of his wife and children. 😀

It would of taken me a second to realize that if I didn't get the heart someone else would be bedding my wife a raising my children and I would have changed my mind.

Could be playing the long game. His kids might have inherited the stupid. Might not win the "official" Darwin award, but Darwin statistically wins over time.

Scarcity, competition, better "resumes". Transplant patients need to be able to care for themselves and follow directions after getting one. Doesn't sound like he can do either(he's a little big) and headstrong.

His dad sounds like someone who's puffed a few cigarettes.

The only way any rational person in those circumstances would refuse a vaccine that nothing does more than head-fake your immune system is if you think that your life here was just a wrong turn. And from the looks of things round here, damn boy, your aim for the bottom of the barrel did NOT go amiss. [

I'm also sure this could be the result of any number of mental illnesses. But as many generations have speculated, there may be less of a difference between the two than we think.

If he was refusing to take an extremely safe vaccine that would protect him from hospitalization-from/death-by-covid before he had his issues, why is he a good candidate to receive a heart that requires a lifetime of maintenance medication. He sadly doesn't seem like a candidate likely to follow good medical advice, and there are tons of other candidates who will listen to good medical advice waiting for hearts.

No ssympathy!!! Donor hearts just don`t pop up everyday and you would want to give a donor heart to somebody who has the potential and has taken all precautions to live......not getting the vaccine is just stoopid!!

His Dad should be trying to talk some common sense into his moron son instead of sticking up for him like an idiot.

Hopefully she was smart enough to breed with other men already...

That’s tough to watch. As someone who’s undergone a open-heart procedure (@IronWing, I think you recently went through it), I feel bad for his family. I feared I’d leave my wife and kids on the table. And I felt extremely fortunate I even had the opportunity to make it to the table.

I also spent 6 hours on the OR table for OHS and I have zero sympathy for this guy.
