I really wasnt expecting much from it but damn, absolutely the best rts ever made, bar none. Its going to be even bigger than starcraft. Im sooooo tired, cause I havent slept in 24 hours. Just one more game!
 
I'm extremely disappointed with it. Its the exact same thing as Starcraft but in a Fantasy theme and has hero's which really aren't that big of a deal.
 
I have to agree with Jeraden.

Oh I was excited the first game or so I played each race, but then it very quickly got very stale.
Beautiful visually, but it's just Starcraft with Heroes.
And the heroes part seems to run counter to the actual gameplay. You would think with building up heroes and their abilities the gameplay would be slower. But it's actually very much "run-an-gun". There's no way to make walls or any sort of real defenses.
It takes no time at all to make a big army and then watch them die spectacularly.

Overall dissappointing
 
I like it alright. I think the single player game will be better for me though. I played many a Starcraft game on Battle.net, but I found the single player mode on it and Brood War to be far more engaging.
 
I like it but I doubt it will ever have the same appeal to me as Warcraft II did, my favourite game of all time.

Mojonba, there won't be any sea units. This is Blizzard, so even though it is a beta, pretty much the only changes are slight unit changes in cost/hp/etc to try and balance the races.

I have a Geforce2 MX (32 MB) and am finding it frustrating. I basically maxed my 90/90 and had my whole fully upgraded army attack another army of the same size and I couldn't even watch the fight let alone manage anything (like cast a spell). However, I could see the remains when my army was gone and his was half standing and the guy told me it was cause he used magic.

Perhaps I should start another thread, but is anyone else using a GF2 MX and having visual lag? I think I want to upgrade, this is definitely one of those games that will be good for hardware companies, any recommendations? I don't want to spend too much but I still want to do a fair upgrade considering I am already happy with my current card (until now).
 
lamplighter: I'm using an ATI Radeon 32mb DDR and I get some slowdown during large battles too. I think they just need to tweak the code some more. Hopefully the final version will be a bit faster.
