This is my favorite new show... I like it much better than Survivorman.

Did anyone see tonight's episode where he bit the head off a snake and then ate the body?
 
The guy is insane, but I gotta hand it to him when it comes to survival. I started setting my DVR for everyweek now.

See the one where he was in the frozen mountains and actually jumped in the frozen lake to show you how to get out and recover from the cold? Thats the one where he caught a fish out of the lake and bit into its spine to kill it instantly and eat.

The rainforest survival one was pretty good too.

I saw the mountain lake one, but I haven't seen the rainforest one yet. In spite of all the suffering he puts himself through, does anyone else get the impression that he's totally enjoying himself?

In other words, survivorman is too realistic and you enjoy grunting, scratching your armpits and craving bananas more in response to manufactured brawn ... 😛 Seriously though, the show is so fake. Any time he's doing something "TOO KEWL!!!1!1oneone", the cameraman gets a sudden onset of epilepsy, because SHAKING CONVEYS BADASSNESS!!!11 Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the show - since Seinfeld, laughs on TV have been hard to come by 😉
 
I like the episode where he gets in the quicksand on purpose to show you how to get out of it.

I did. And I love what he said; "You dont eat the maggots head. Thats the discusting part of them." (or something similar to that comment)

I've seen the fish one too. Last night, among other things he bit the head off a snake, then ate the body while it was still moving. He also killed a rabbit by throwing a large tree limb at it.
 
He seems like a tough guy...but man that is one fake show.

He skydives into a mountain lake, swims out, and his parachute isn't even deployed. What a laugh fest.
 
He stays in good spirits because he knows if he's seriously in trouble he has a whole crew with him to bail them out if need be. And you know that chopper that flies him into all these places is standing by with a constant GPS tracking on the group in case of emergency. That doesn't mean the show isn't good though, it definitely is.
 
Survivorman is much better. More realistic. This tool of a host does not lug his own gear and rarely shows you how he is doing things. Survivorman showed you everything.

Although, watching him bite the head off a live snake and swallowing the writhing body was pretty fvckin cool!

 
This show > Survivorman.

I do enjoy both shows, but survivor man is not as good as this. The host just seems to carry on and on about having to lug the camera around, as if he's taking subtle jabs at this show.
 
i actually caught a couple episodes today as well and that dude is NUTS!

i immediately set my tivo for a season pass of the show.

i watched the episode where he had to survive on a desert island and then built a raft to escape....sharks tried to get him then gave up.

then i caught parts of the mountain one....absolutely crazy
