Francesco Bove, the man who was attacked by pitbulls, own a pitbull himself.

Cynthia Oliver, arrested 37 times and own pitbulls? So every time when police wants to arrest her, has to deal with her dogs first?

Guess government/court should ban drug offender from owning dangerous dogs, especially pitbulls.

Had it been a stroller with an infant or a toddler walking by, they'd very likely be dead or near death.
 
Considering the huge over representation of pit bulls in maiming and fatal dog attacks I think we need to widely implement special licenses required to own them, the purpose being to effectively shutter the interest in the general public owning them, similar to how certain other animals are treated.

There are many breeds of dogs that can be dangerous also may pit bulls aren't pure bread. How would the state know what kind of dog an owner has when they call their dog a hound mutt ir something similar. Also do people who own dogs that attack people generally get dog licenses?
I'm going to guess her dogs are not licensed.

But if some cities can ban pitbulls, there must be a way.
 
shrug pitbulls are one of those that act on how you raise them. I have known some very lovable and nice pitbulls. but it seems the majority of owners get them for the "terror" aspect of them. so they are raised mean.


and you can't ban them. they call them something else. its fucking insane

This is why states need something like three strikes and you are gone for life laws. Someone is arrested 37 times they need to be in jail for life away from public.

If justice had been served a decade ago the dog owner would have been in prison and this attack would never have happened.
 
Unnatural selection found in selective breeding, most people select the friendly puppy that comes to them with a friendly bark and tail wag, these puppies get selected for their growl and bite. And then get training to attack and bite. Great for a guard dog never to be let out in public. Bad for the pulic walking down the street or hallway.

As a former pitbull owner (dog lived to 14, died in April) I can tell you most cities that ban them really don't give a rat's ass unless, in fact, said pit bull attacks something. Then yes, they'll probably throw the book at you. The law just seems to be there for some extra pain if your dog does bite someone, I've never seen it enforced otherwise.

while that's true a pitbull has been specially bred for fighting and killing and the body/bite of the dog are unlike most other canines. There is no doubt in my mind that the pitbulls are victims of their owners but that doesnt change that fact.
 
Maybe tax the people selling them? Still won't address people selling pit bulls as mutts or mixed breed.
Irish Wolf Hounds are certainly more capable of doing harm but they are expensive so people are serious about owning them.

This story is both infuriating (because of that dumb bitch) and inspiring (the victim having no animosity towards the dogs themselves, not wanting them to be put down). That guy has a big heart. If that was me sitting in the hospital bed I'd want to run that bitch and her dogs feet first into a wood chipper.

Does it not matter what the offenses were? It said drug offenses in the story, I didn't see any mention of violent crime. While racking up 37 counts of anything seriously points to you being a dumbass and probably a nuisance, life in prison is pretty damn rough for say, minor shit.

Not knowing the details of her past, I'll venture a guess and say justice most likely was served, she's just a dumb bitch who until now kept her malfeasance below a certain threshold. If it's proven than she commanded the dogs to attack, she certainly deserves a prison sentence, no argument there.
 
LOL when you actually NEED the cops to show up and shoot a dog they're nowhere to be found.

Boy, I sure am glad nobody in NYC can easily obtain a firearm. Much better to have the cops show up 15 minutes later after the dogs have chewed up half a dozen people.
 
Wow Crazy Videos. I appreciate everyone trying to help, but not sure how noone could get a bat, tire iron or a 2x4. It is NY afterall, those things are generally lying around.
