Man uses $200 bill to buy groceries

I saw on TV a while ago an artist that made hand-drawn copies of dollar bills ($20s, 50s, 100s).

He always signed it and changed it a little so as to not be an exact copy, but just pretty darn close.

Then he would go and try to buy something with it.

Sometimes the store would let him, sometimes the it wouldn't.

As he became known...collectors would pay more than "face value" for his "art" and the stores that would accept it made out.

If I can find info somewhere I'll post it.

EDIT: Found it... I think. Artist's Name is: J. S. G. Boggs

Most of the times if you're a teenager or someone working at a grocery store you don't really care because you hate your employer...when I worked at best buy employees would laugh if people walked out of the store w/ stolen merchandise...it doens't matter to them...

When I was a teenager I didn't like that, in fact, theft pisses me off to no end.

Not to mention that most employees of retail chains receive bonuses if their shrink levels are low.

For those who don't know... shrink = theft, return fraud, product destruction.

Not at the retail places I worked. Anything like that at all got the cops called. Some dude passed me a fake $20 that was so obviously fake I laughed when he handed it to me. He sat in drive through while I "got change".

Morons. 😀

Real bright cashier...............
Must've been the same guy who tried to refuse Oikos' $2 bill because, "There's no such thing as a $2 bill".

-You probably don't realise how bad some employers can be. I had a boss that was crossing times off my time card and re-writing them in to save himself some money. People didn't just walk out of the store with stuff... I stole for them in a lot of cases. As far as bonus's go, I made my own. I've had management training elsewhere and know how to look for theft. I also knew how to get away with it.
