It says he's "recently a professional gambler". If he was professional he'd know roulette is not the best game to play. He'd be better off doing one hand of double or nothing BlackJack.

Dude, if he's a "professional gambler" he should use that money and play some no-limit Texas hold'em!!!

But... what you guys only look at it the short term loss.

Lets say he loses. The TV show will cover that and a lot of people will be heartbroken for the guy.

He even gets another month of publicity by the TV show following Him around.

Now... once he gets back all he has to do is write some 100-150 page book. Sign a contract with some publisher and he will make much more money back in return. Simple as that. the way I see it, the odds are highly in his favor if he milks the situation behind the spin of the wheel!

This guy better has a round-trip ticket back to Britain in his hand - if he loses, he better not be planning on staying here and trying to soak us for his benefit.

I'm sure you're right seeing as Murdoch owns both Sky and Fox.... and DirectTV .... and The Times (London) and The Sun (London) .... and tons of Australian media .... and New York Post.

If he loses he'll probably then sue the Casino for bilking him out of his life savings, that they should have known he was an idiot due to the whole preface of the show, etc. I mean, this is america, they should refuse him the opporunity... because it's not the individuals duty to be responsible here.

True story..

I was losing all night and wanted to win just once.. just so I could say I won something. I put $5 on red and $5 on black. THE FRIGGEN THING CAME UP GREEN. After that time I hardly ever placed another bet and instead prefer to just spend all my money on booze when I go to a casino, and I doubt I will ever change.

he'sprobably such an idiot that, if he wins, he will bet *again* and then lose 272K :) If he wouldnt be such an idiot he wouldnt be there in the first place betting all he has. I can see him going for a 1/2 or 1 million for the sake of the show/publicity and losing.

With all that money on the line, and the odds of losing it, and the payoffs not really 2x, I think I'd throw it away on booze and prostitutes, at least then I'd have an interesting story to tell. Plus I'd be able to say I've done it with a room full of chicks. I bet I could even make an interesting book out of it.
