i got all 4o f my wisdom teeth pulled out today and i have like a pound of gauze in my mouth so my speaking sounds quite unintelligble. dunno how long i gotta keep that $hit in there for, but hopefully not too long

My wisdom teeth extraction (all four of 'em) was painless. I was asleep the whole time, and I felt almost no pain! Bleeding was minimal, and I was eating Chinese food within 24 hours of my extraction. The hard part was when I took a vicodin...I fainted on my bathroom floor and smacked my head pretty hard.

Mine bled for 72 hours...well, tiny amounts of blood later on. That wasn't very smart to remove all 4 at the same time though, if you just did two on one side, you could still chew on the other.

Had all four of mine out. Unfortunately went to a dentist who was a hack. I hate finding that out once I am in the chair and halfway through the proceedure. Probably the most painful experience I have ever been through. Didn't bleed too much afterwords, but I was in pain for several days. Oh well, live and learn. Good luck with your recovery. 🙂

Ask them to wrap your fingers too, lets completely mute you.

Drink some orange juice and see if you can prevent yourself from crying...

I guess it depends on if the tooth were impacted or not.. If it was impacted, they have to cut you to get to it.. takes longer to heal..

I had 4 impacted... put under for removal...
3 hours later, I was out playing pinball or something... except for bad speech (lots of gauze for soaking up blood), everything was fine.

wait until tomorrow morning when you wake up and it looks like the GodFather visited and a horse head bled all over your pillow.

YES I CAN'T WAIT

I had 2 that were impacted and infected. I was given local and then they cut them out. Took one Percoset that day. The next day I tossed the drugs and was eating hotdogs...albeit sideways...no way in hell I could go 24 hours and not eat anything solid.

Yeah, it did. And when I came to, I was the queasiest I've ever been without throwing up. Imagine a sick kid with swollen cheeks sitting on his bathroom floor taking super-deep breaths with his head between his legs. That was me. :|

They cracked one of mine open with it being fully "asleep" yet. I grabbed the armrests so freakign hard and stiffened up the Doc was like "ummmm did that hurt" and I just stared at him. He quick grabbed the needle and pumped lords only knows how much Novacaine into my gums.

Worst pain ever.

i get all 4 taken out on the 5th in a few days!!!

does it hurt constantly or only when you apply pressure?

ive heard it feels like u just got braces put on, so sore for a few days even if not applying pressure:/

i had braces for about a year
