Thirteen

This movie is so scary, because it's so true. I'm 17, and If I was scared, I can only imagine what parents think and feel when they see this movie. I've drank before, but not heavily, and I've been curious about cigz, but never tried them, and all that stuff, but after seeing this, no way in hell am I gonna touch anything again.

This movie focused on a girl trying to be popular, and sadly succeeding through drugs, sex and crime. So many girls from my school popped into my mind while watching this, and I felt so sorry for them. I'm also sure that it's diffrent for a guy to get popular, compared to a girl..

anywho, this movie was very good, and I reccomend it to anyone.

There was a movie from about 8 years ago now called "Kids" that was also pretty scary. I need to see Thirteen though. Is it already out on DVD?

13 is a scary movie, but if you really want to be disturbed, check out Kids (as mentioned before). In that movie, you'll wonder to yourself "Where are the adults?".

I have two cousins, one 16 (boy), the other 13 (girl). The movie 13 made me think of my cousins, and I just about cried. Fortunately I see my 16 year old cousin on X-Box Live all the time playing Rainbow6 3, so I'm not as worried. We've talked about all the things he has done, and I've tried to tell him not to be stupid, but it is like talking to a brick wall. He already chews tobacco (picked up from his dad). My parents would have beat my ass if I was chewing at that age... Anyway, I told him to give it up as the ladies don't find it very attractive, especially in college. He used to smoke, quit, and drinks and does some drugs, though I don't know which ones beyond pot. To be completely honest, I think that he will turn out OK and keep a good head on his shoulders. It is my other cousin (13 girl) that I'm most worried about. She is fairly popular, but I worry what she'll do to keep that popularity when she gets to high school.

Blah...

Actually, 13 ends better than Kids, IIRC. It appears that the girl in 13 gets help from her mom and sorts things out. Mainly the problems are that she wants to be popular, and ends up letting another girl "own" her, gets into drinking, drugs, and sex. She also cuts herself, which is a pretty common theme, surprising enough.

personally, i find that the younger the title sounds, the more scrary the movie is. 13 was great, kids even better, but to be really scared, you must see 'babies'.

When I was in HS, I liked helping those girls get popular, wink wink, if you know what I mean :)

its not supposed to be "scary" on a sense of a horrer flick, but more like, a "scary" that 13 yr olds do what they did in Thirteen
