And the presenters seem uncomfortable. All and all, definately not the best waste of time I've ever had.

Though Hugh Laurie's "translator" bit was pretty funny.

Does anyone have the results for the technical awards last week? BSG and Stargate Atlantis were up for awards in those categories.

The presenters are ALWAYS uncomfortable. They're given crap to work with and they know it. They're up there hoping to get it over with and pick up their gift baskets as quickly as possible.

The opening montage was good though.

I can't believe the Simpsons won. Really a disappointing season, it's like the voters just saw the Simpsons and didn't even bother considering South Park or Family Guy.

Family Guy was horrendous this year. I think South Park probably should have taken that category.

And both Curb and AD go down to The Office US. :(

Just checked IMDB and got the bad news.

24?! Are you kidding me?
Also, Kiefer Sutherland over Denis Leary?
This past 24 season was not even remotely close to either House or The Sopranos. And how did Edie Falco not even get a nomination?
I'm not remotely touching the Emmys ever again. Whoever picks these awards is comprised of a bunch of morons.

Total snub for SciFi. How fvcking stupid. EVERYONE's been raving this year about how good a series BSG is, but will a Sci-Fi show EVER win an emmy? Doubtful.

Then again, I am talking out of my ass, and my sphincter has been known to speak evil...especially after lots of hot sauce.

lmao... this thread is moving a lot slower than the thread about the "slip." I was going to ask in the other thread why those shows aren't time delayed by 10 or 15 seconds so that networks can avoid the huge FCC fines... but then I realized that having things like that apparently increase their audience (if by no more than a few hundred thousand horny people who'll watch the Emmys rather than surf porn).

Advertiser: "I simply can't justify paying that much for an ad this year... your number of viewers is way down."
Producer: "Don't worry, we're going to have a nipple slip to improve the ratings."
Advertiser: "Great! Here's an extra 100k"
Producer: "cool, thanks, with that kind of extra money, we can pay for about 50 nipple slips."

I got the slip vid on YouTube already...but the thread was locked. I won't start another if it's not safe to post.
