Ok, let's see where all the "buh, buh, Bush" people are on this one since every time a Bush protester was even looked at wrong by the Secret Service, police, etc.. they posted an outraged story about it here.

My opinion? The officers overreacted and need to be called on the carpet for it.

Ask the Secret Service, who interviewed the man and found no problems with the sign. Or maybe ask the officer's supervisor who said "taking it was a mistake" basically.

Read the story. They asked to go into his home and look around, the man obliged. They wanted to make sure he wasnt a part of some racist group.

The man could have easily fought a search warrant on 1st amendment grounds, but he didnt.

Now he has all of this attention, and will probably still display the sign.

Ok OK, some idiotic police officers did something wrong, it hardly equals a nationwide pattern of police harassment of people who are unhappy with Obama.

I'm not sure. You guys know how anti-abortion I am, but that's a very poorly-worded sign. I think the officer make have reacted in a safe manner. It doesn't take much to perceive Abort Obama as a threatening phrase.

The irony of course is that people who would defend the sign are probably pro-life, and to defend this, they'd have to say abort doesn't mean "to murder." Also, to villify this sign, as most pro-choice people would, they'd have to argue that Abort implies a threat.

What a strange circumstance.

Where is anyone denying that abortion is killing, leftists or otherwise? Some respect the difference between killing a previable fetus and a human being, while others ignore it, but it takes a loose grip on reality to call abortion anything but killing. Furthermore, the guy who made the sign obviously considers it as much. Are you attempting to argue otherwise?
