That's the definition of "cruel and unusual punishment".

Well, it's not exactly. And I'm opposed to both 'cruel and unusual punishment' and this excessive sentence.

As with so much of the constitution, they had some certain types of things in mind, and used vague words - prison almost by definition is pretty damned cruel.

Solitary confinement - that's absolutely cruel and should be banned at least almost entirely. Waterboarding and other 'enhanced interrogation' torture.

While this isn't 'the definition' of cruel and unusual, hopefully it fits enough to strike it down.
 
So prior to being out sick no one noticed this dude meeting a shipper at the workplace and presumably loading 800 pounds of goods into his vehicle on a regular basis?
 
On topic, this sentence is absurd. Rapists get less, sometimes a fuckload less, time. Hell I've seen murders get less than 25 years.
