What if I was flying a kite in my yard?

Me being your neighbor i would get out my RPG and blow it up, because government is spying on me. /sarcasm

Hell yes, the freedoms of speech, assembly, and association were only put into the constitution to make the pussies happy. The right to bear arms will protect our privacy from government intrusion no matter how many wires are tapped or datas are mined, because we have our priorities straight!

Shooting down a CIA drone will cause another drone to be dispatched with a missile. This guy was clearly not thinking this one through.

CIA Drone? WTF? would the asshole shoot at a police or county sheriffs dept drone? Im pretty sure if any LEO drone is shot down someobody is going to get arrested.

CIA drone,,, lol that guy knew full and well that it was his neighbors drone and is just being a prick.

I predict that in the next 12 months severe restrictions will be put in place for drones because the cost allows idiots to get their hands on them.

It gets worse, someone tries to collide his drone with a passenger plane, also a Southwest pilot reported one close to his approach in TX.http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/10/report-drone-nearly-collided-with-british-passenger-plane-on-purpose/

See this is the type of asshat stuff that's going to result in bans. Which is sad because these drones would make great platforms for firefighters to get an aerial view of the forest fire anytime they wanted.

I'm pretty sure anyone involved in a Government role would be allowed exemptions.

Once they start making drones and things like this autonomous and starting to let them run around like some people have in mind the real problems will start.

SWORDS is eve old, hard telling what is new these days.

So I was flying my drone today and had to land it for awhile because my airspace became crowded.

By an Apache. 😱

He kept circling for a good five minutes. I don't know if he wanted me to take a picture of him, (I was flying without my GoPro) or if he wanted to use it for target practice! 😱

Anyway he had right of way so I wasn't flying with him anywhere in the area.

This pic is from the Royal Marines but there are attachment points on the exterior for recovering downed crew.

How awesome would it be to get in a firefight riding an attack helicopter? Or shoot down some Phantom quad copter? That would be awesome!

On a serious note, perhaps the gunner just wanted practice tracking it. The crew probably haven't had much practice tracking OPFOR quadcopters and it was just used as a training opportunity.
