Pwned. We probably need a few more cases like this for more people to really STFU in theaters.

This reminds me of one of those Scary Movies where the girl was in the theater talking and the entire movie theater just took turns stabbing her and got right back to the movie. Everyone in that theater was probably thinking of doing what he did, but didn't have the guts.

 My thoughts exactly.

On a related note; how about ejector seats? Once you reach a preset level of talking, the seat drops down under the floor, dumps you into a slide-type contraption and you get dumped outside the theater? That would be the best thing since sliced bread.

On a related note: I love my home theater. Every once in awhile I'll talk to myself a lot just to replicate the real movie theater experience. No seriously; I LOVE my home theater.

Well...yeah. And? My friends and I truly enjoy intelligent conversation. Don't we, guys? Yeah! Rock on Mike. Thank you, Tom. That was very nice of you. You're welcome, Mike.

I don't see the problem. ;)

ps
You have to admit that the "dump you outside" movie theater seat is a kickass idea though.

I can fully understand the frustration. Who hasn't been filled with rage over inconsiderate people? I'll be honest, the story made me smile a guilty little smile too.

But it was in no way justifiable. This just is not justifiable violence any way you look at it.

And it doesn't matter that it was a shooting, or a beating, or a stabbing. So the anti-gunners can shove it. The guy was a fairly big guy so even if he hadn't been armed he would have tooled the other guy up. He probably did less damage with the gun, actually. :p

Theaters could have that if they would enforce the rules and just make people leave. They need to up their security and enforce strict rules over causing distractions in the theaters. The majority will cheer.

Unfortunately, the minority will sue and some abulance chaser will gladly take up their case screaming about civil rights or some other nonsense.

Theaters need bouncers.

Well, people do need to learn to stfu during movies, but I guess killing them is a bit extreme. A severe beating would suffice.

I hope the shooter at least used a silencer when he shot the guy...the gunshot would have been far noisier than the talking...:D

I fully understand the frustration, but shooting someone? Just move..... (depending on how many people are in the theater that is)

One thing that pisses me off is if you're the only one in the theater and 3 other couples come in and sit in same same fucking row almost right next to you. The theater's practically empty and you want to sit next to me?

That's why I try to see movies at 1-2pm...... when school and work are in session. It helps, but not always fool proof.

personally I think america has gotten both too lenient and to liberal with violence.

I am all for ESPECIALLY in politics that one should be required to fight for their cause.

You piss me off and I beat you down, I may not necessarily win...but you may not fight so hard next time.

I was in traffic two nights ago and some asshat blew a stop sign in my neighborhood...I thought we were going to collide so I blew my horn.

Asshat immediately stops his car and gets ready to jump out...I just aligned my bumper with his door and taunted him with my horn.

Next light he tried again and I just pulled up to him the same way.

man I wish I could have smeared him.

Seriously I don't get the idiots that do something wrong and when 'reminded' now feel they have a vendetta.

more evidence that civilians simply shouldn't be allowed to own guns.

Yup, cause this one idiot more than erases the many hundreds of thousands of lives saved through civilian ownership, the feeling of security offered to a hundred million gun owners, the fun of target shooting, the legacy of hunting, and the guarantee against outrageous government abuses.

Er right, thats why your murder rate is so low?

Although I do think there is an argument for snipers on the balconies in cinemas.

So is it the shooter, or shootee that you're talking about?

Our murder rate has nothing to do with hardware, and everything to do with culture.

Our murder rate is high because of our social programs (or lack thereof), and our culture in general. There are plenty of nations with equal or greater firearm saturation and near non-existent murder rates, as well as many with zero gun saturation and much higher murder rates. The two are not significantly correlated.

What the shooter should have done is to do a Samuel L Jackson on Mr Talky-talk.

"You need to shut the fvck up in the mother-fvcking theater while we're all trying to watch the mother-fvcking movie, or I will shoot your ass with my mother-fvcking gun! Do you understand, mother fvcker?!?!?"
