Man says he's eaten 23,000 Big Macs since 1972

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - A 54-year-old man says his obsessive-compulsive disorder drove him to eat 23,000 Big Macs in 36 years. Fifty-four-year-old Don Gorske says he hit the milestone last month, continuing a pleasurable obsession that began May 17, 1972 when he got his first car.

Gorske has kept every burger receipt in a box. He says he was always fascinated with numbers, and watching McDonald's track its number of customers motivated him to track his own consumption.

The only day he skipped a Big Mac was the day his mother died, to respect her request. The correctional-institution employee says he doesn't care when people call his Big Mac obsession crazy. He says he's in love with the burgers, which are the highlights of his days.

How is he still alive? :Q

Edit: Picture of the guy

His Wikipedia page

After doing the math, he's consumed 1724 lbs of fat from these Big Macs.

Just did the math, supposedly there is 34 grams of fat in a single Big Mac. So 34 x 23,000 = 782000 grams. 782000 grams = 1724 lbs. So he's consumed 1724 lbs of fat just from these Big Macs...

Also, when doing the math, one might find that he has eaten on average less than two a day. It's a pretty reasonable thing to eat by itself. Meat, bread, some lettuce or something.

He further claims to have eaten 265 Big Macs in the following month, an average of 8.5 Big Macs per day. If true, this would be equivalent to over 4,600 calories and 247 grams of fat daily, for a total of 143,100 calories and 16.9 pounds of fat in one month.

Less than a pound a week, isn't it?

This guy is already known. It looks like this publication was short on material so dredged this up and peeked in on his progress.

The guy was on Supersize Me. The main reason he isn't fat is because he has never once eaten the fries, and doesn't take a giant coke like all the fatties do. Most people when they go to McDonalds don't just get a BigMac alone, they get the combo.

The guy basically is a living example of how it's all about moderation.

Or a living example of how McDonald's doesn't make you fat, eating too much food does?
