Next time meet infront of a police station. Everyone tends to act a little more civil when there are a lot of police arround.

<< Yet another case of how it doesn't pay off to be a nice guy!!! >>

Nice guy? Holding her purse for ransom I think would disqualify him of that title. Granted, I don't think the guy deserved to get shot in the head, but damn, if a shoving match breaks out between two guys and your female cousin would you stay in the car and just watch?

Would you get out and shoot him in the head? I sure as hell wouldnt. It sounds like she never intended on giving him the finders fee in the first place. I would sure as hell give $50 if somebody found my wallet. Do you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to get a new drivers liscence/med insurance card and all the other cards you have in there cancelled and then reprinted?

doesn't seem like he held it for ransom. They agreed to a $50 reward on the phone so he's entitled to ask about it when he gives her the purse. Either way, shooting him in the head is going way overboard and can't be justified in any way.

Dude, you can call it a 'finder's fee,' but if he was demanding the money before handing over the purse, the law calls it extortion. Especially if they 'agreed' to the fee along the lines of him saying 'give me a $50 reward or you don't get your purse back.' As it is, there isn't enough info from that poorly written blurb to properly form an opinion either way, other than yes, as I said before, the guy probably didn't deserve to get shot in the head.

If the lady was really worried about the $50, then why didn?t she just show up with the police? Then again that might have messed with her brother-in-law?s plan to shoot a Mexican gardener in the head.
