After another grueling day outside in the heat cleaning my yard I got to thinking. How come with all this new tech out there nobody has figured out how to rig a peltier element or gas exchanger to a portable unit?

With the peltier I am sure the heat it gives off combined with the energy cost it is probably inefficient. But how long would a unit last and how much power to do that?

I believe petier units have never been scaled up enough (correct me if I'm wrong), plus, you'd have to carry around a heavy ass heatsink (to not burn up the peltier) and a fairly large UPS.

So, think...large peltier+civic radiator+UPS == heavy :(

Ok, that's fair. Let's say the cooling area is a shirt shaped tubing system and you want to reduce the surface temps 15F. I guess you would need a circulation pump, the tubing plus the peltier, radiator, and power supply.

I just realized you could flip the element and provide heat in the winter.

Maybe the fuel cell Tech could provide the power source in the future.
