Berry was shot in the face, looking down the barrel of a home-built contraption called a spud gun. When it fired a frog, it blinded him.

"If it would've been anything else it would've killed me," he says.

So he was staring down the barrel of a loaded weapon.

What a stupid piece of sh*t. What sort of 17 year old shoots frogs anyway? Maybe when you're 12 that's fun but 17? I guess if anybody had to go blind that day he deserved it as much as anyone.

LOL.. when you're 17, you move up to kitten guns. Frogs are too juvenile. But, when you shoot a kitten, you aim them at a wall or another kitten. You never aim them at your face, duh.

Suprise was the guy who makes spud guns in his garage, not the guy who shot himself. He's taking a lot of flack for making these potato cannons and selling them to people. People say he's making weapons, the ATF doesn't think so but people are still going after him.

this kid is a moron who had a frog in a potato cannon, he was looking INTO the barrel, and he shot it. wow.

and his dream was to finish college, go into the army, and become a pilot?

the only type of flying I would trust him with is jumping off a cliff. really, I don't even trust him with MS Flight Simulator. I think he's just that stupid.

Where the hell did you get your info? First off, it wasn't his gun. He saw some kids playing with it and went over to check it out. They ran out of potatoes so they stuffed a frog into it. It didn't fire so he looked down the barrel and it went off BY itself. Yes, I'm sure he shot himself in the face with a frog to see what happens genius

Is he stupid? Yes. No one in their right mind would look down the barrel of a gun. Are you stupid too? Yes.

It went off by itself? You even said, "It didn't fire so he looked down the barrel..." meaning that he, or one of his friends, shot him in the face w/a frog. There was just a delayed reaction. And in the rare, rare chance that spontanious combustion discharged that weapon it still doesn't make him any less of a dumb@ss for starring into the barrel of a loaded weapon while attempting to figure out why it didn't fire when he attempted to fire it.
