Man on Mars in 2010 !?

Well it's been 30 years since we've done any personal exploring out there. It won't be happening by 2010. Perhaps sometime in our lifetimes but no possible way it'll be that early. Accumulating debt and S.S. budget problems are ever-worsening and NASA is currently being squeezed pretty hard anyway.

God, I wish we would set a goal such as this. Our space program could really use an inspiring goal like this to get back to the old ethic of innovation and exploration.

Nuclear propulsion would be very cool. Sounds like big progress to me.
