Geez, i just finished setting up my new comp, and it's unbelievalbly louder than my last comp.

It's all pretty much the same setup, Enlight 7237 Case, 1 front case fan, however the only diff is the proc fan which instead of a "Cooler Master's DP5-6I31C-A1 " it's a "ENLIGHT CPU COOLER FAN 60x60x20 MODEL# NH001E01 ", it's friggin loud and i'd like to know any suggestions on making it quieter.

Thanx!

the fan raven suggested will be quiet. 28db is pretty quiet for me. if you don't want to go for a quieter 60mm fan, you can get a 80mm fan and a 80mm>60mm fan adapter.

They're suggesting that you switch out the fan on your processor's heatsink ;)

you could always shell out the dough for a water cooled system:D
of course the way i deal with my loud computer is to keep winamp running
at all times

Run it at 7 volts but it will be less efficient at cooling your CPU. If you are not OCing, it shouldn't be an issue.

uh....u're totally off...

just buy a different fan for the heatsink - a 60mm one (60 x 60 x whatever height)...the ystech raven suggested is good.

the enlight psu fan also releases a weird high-pitched sound. at least for me it does. after switching off my computer at night, all i hear is silence...but when i turn it on, the whining begins.
