I don't know a single person who has a gun... And people who do have guns aren't running around protecting them from crime.

it's the first link on the right that says 'Portland man shot' under Video on Demand.

My friend was released today and will have to go back later to get the bullet remvoed from his arm. The police were trying to hint to my friends that they were trying to do a drug deal that went bad, I kind of had that feeling too when I spoke to the cops yesterday also that they were suspicious of the situation. But I suppose it's their job to think of all the angles.

There were two people in the car. But once one of your buddies gets shot and is screaming my next move would be to gtfo of there stat.

I doubt they would have had the time or sense of mind to get out the gun and shoot the guy. If they had hesitated, they'd likely both be dead.

All this bravado from gun nuts, when I doubt a single one of you has been in a situation like >>>>that<<<< and used a gun to "save" yourself... (of course, you'll all have stories to prove me wrong, but none of them will be a similar situation. Even I have used a gun to stop a crime, but not after having someone pump bullets into me in a surprise attack)....

You might be able to assasinate people who accidentally knock on the wrong door, but in a pinch like what Ironcrotch described you are out of you mind if you think a gun would have helped.
