I'm not against gay marriage, or civil rights unions, or whatever you want to call them, but of course, that has nothing to do with a case like this. This pre-adult marriage should not, and almost certainly will not, stand. It's an absurd defense, and he should fry for even suggesting that such an illegal union (which the girl?s parents say does not exist) makes it okay to harm a child.
