Man, it's freaking hot here today...

What's the normal daytime high in SD this time of year? is that
damm El-Nino occurring again?

70s or cooler. It's supposed to cool off tomorrow but it was hot yesterday and today was even hotter. It was like this a couple weeks ago too.

too hot. man, i wouldn't want to have your electric bill. 😛

I set the A/C to 74 degrees. It's very comfortable in here right now. I'll shut it off later after it cools off outside.

If he just has to run it for a few days it wont be to big of a hit.
Here in FL the AC stays on from May-Oct and the whopper-sized
Elec. bills come in. The fuel surcharge is sure to be a killer seeing
as oil is so high..

< Lived in california for 20 years. never had AC ever. I don't know how I do it. my parents just tell me to stop b!tching every summer. they say I should be ashamed that I can't even deal with only 1-2 weeks of high temps in California. They said the weather where they come from (Missouri) makes CA look like nothing.

Which is just one of the many reasons I don't live in Missouri. 😉

Our house was plumbed for central air so all we had to do was buy a compressor. We bought one that is rated 14 SEER so we got a rebate from SDG&E of $500.

We're about 7 miles from the coast so we only need it a few weeks out of the year but we've already had a few days this year where it was hot enough to turn it on. I can't sleep when it's hot in our master bedroom and that room gets all the afternoon sun so it sure is nice to have it when it gets hot.

Mid 90's here in Kahleeforneeya's Central Valley...supposed to be another cooling trend headed this way, and even the possibility of some thunderstorms by next weekend! (/me LOVES big thunder-boomer storms!)
