Most major cities in TX are land locked. Every major beautiful cities should have water nearby (SF, LA, Bos, NY, Vancouver).

I'm not sure how cosmopolitan Dallas is. I drove by it. But you can't beat above 5 cities for their amazing Asian food, which I need as an Asian. Also you can't snowboard in TX.

Judging by your comments, I think you would like Seattle with its great Asian food and of course being on the water. The Asian food might not up to Vancouver's level, but damn good. Seattle has had a thriving Asian population for a long time.

I know a lot of Seattleites who love Vancouver, and a lot of Vancouverites who love Seattle. Great pair of cities only a couple hours apart.

been in the 40s here in the Pac NW (Portland, OR) during the past week (visiting my guy's family). 'twas sunny for the first couple of days, then back to its usual gray. :biggrin:

will be going back to 60s/70s degree temps soon.
