Man it feels good to pay off debts.

There is just something so satisfying about paying off debts.

I just paid off my school loan today and based on the budget my wife and I worked on we will have every single debt paid off before the end of June except for the house and car.

Anyone else penny pinching as much as they can in order to get out of as much debt as the can?

I want to get to the point where the only debt we have at all is the mortgage, but that'll take a bit longer to get to.

<-- Been doing it since mid-2008. I have been MUCH less stressful about money since I paid off my credit cards. All I have now is rent + car bill to worry about. 🙂 Getting out of debt is probably the best thing I have done in recent years.

my only debt is my car but I have another car that's paid off so I could get rid of it if necessary

I hear paying off other people's debts is even more satisfying.
I think you'll have a lot of fun if you started paying off my student loans 😛

yeah, getting rid of any debt is nice... finally got my 1000 dollar balance on my CC down to 0 now that I graduated and got a job...

I think my stupid loan I took by accident freshman year for school is gonna start asking for payments in a few months though, I didn't realize they just give you the loan regardless, and you have to choose to decline it.

Heh, those are kinda big debts! Anyways, it's mostly satisfying to see budgeting work regardless of the reason that you've decided to budget.

Well when you consider it's only 1 car out of 2 and a motorcycle, then it's pretty good IMO.

I also finished paying all of my debts last summer. I used to have a student loan and a car loan, both are now paid off (I don't own a house yet). I do realize though that it's not always gonna be this fun... when I buy my next car or a house, I will obviously have loans again. Profit while it lasts!

My wife and I just attended Dave's seminar this weekend in Houston. It was pretty good, but most we already heard from his show or read in his books.

The wife and I went to his live event in Atlanta a few months ago.

Same thing for us, we knew most of what he said already, but it was more to help get us hyped up and motivated to do this.

It was entertaining also.

I'm down to under $10k in student loans. Unfortunately, the wife has about $35k. 🙁 I'm still trying to figure out why she went to such a good school just to become a teacher. The pay sucks.

Looking forward to the day when they're all paid off. That will free up close to a grand a month between us.

I've got about 15K in school loans and 13K for my car. This plus rent in Irvine means not a lot of wiggle room for the next 6 months or so... =(

I've canceled or reduced any services I don't really need and only am paying for netflix, WoW and internet right now.
