The other day I was thinking about how 'Desert Storm' occured in 91... it doesn't seem like all that long ago to me, yet people born around that time are 18 now. 😱 They don't remember that war, but are adults now. I was in 8th grade in 91. Getting old sucks. :|

Nothing made me feel as old as making a reference to my wifes 2nd cousin about Big Trouble in Little China and her looking at me all weird and saying "what??"

🙁

You were in diapers when I graduated high school. 😀

Get old does not suck actually. I love it. 🙂

I just realized that my grandson, who is 8, will be starting college in ten years.

I know that feeling. My oldest grandson is pushing 10.

I'm in the same boat. I'm in my late-mid-30's ( 😉 ), and the people I hang out with weren't even born when the TV shows I talk about were on TV. Bands like Nirvana are showing up on Classic Rock radio stations, and all of the members of bands I like are in their 60's now!

WTF!!!!

saw these guyz Saturday night here in Dallas....the lyrics pretty much sum up this post...

Debbie just hit the wall
She never had it all
One Prozac a day
Husband's a CPA
Her dreams went out the door
When she turned 24.
Only been with one man
What happened to her plan?

She was gonna be an actress
She was gonna be a star
She was gonna shake her ass(ass)
On the hood of White Snake's car
Her yellow SUV is now the enemy
Looks at her average life
And nothing, has been...
all right since

Bruce Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she's uncool
Cuz she's still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1985

Woo Hoo Hooooo!
(1985)
Woo Hoo Hooooo!

She?s seen all the classics
She knows every line
"Breakfast Club", "Pretty In Pink"
Even "St. Elmo's Fire"
She rocked out to Wham!
Not a big Limp Bizkit fan
Thought she'd get a hand
On a member of Duran Duran

Where's the mini-skirt made of snakeskin?
And who's the other guy that's singing in Van Halen?
When did reality become T.V.?
What ever happened to sitcoms, game shows,
(on the radio)

Springsteen, Madonna
way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she's uncool
Cuz she's still preoccupied

Woo Hoo Hooooo!

She hates time, make it stop
When did Motley Crue become classic rock? And when did Ozzy become an actor?
Please make this stop, stop, STOP(tick tick tick) and bring back

I just turned 38 and wouldn't sweat this.

We can learn from you. For example, by doing the exact opposite of everything you say.

All of us already know you're the failboat captain.

When are you going to give up on trying to pass for 25?
Hopefully it's before you get your AARP discount card.
