im sorry but MIKE has it made.

MJ will be forever known. he not only has athletic skills, and women skills, he has managerial skills, people skills, and just pure skills.

he is the greatest and most well known athlete probably to ever live

I'd rather be Tiger. Better looking, better looking wife, no messy divorce, just as good of a public speaker, just as intelligent.
not to mention you get just a couple fewer bruises playing golf than basketball

You know what really makes Tiger great. I can only think of 3 guys in all of sports history that truly lived up to the hype when they were just young amateurs, Gretzsky, Ali, and now Woods. There have been so many "can't miss", but these are the only 3 that truly became or in this case right now for Tiger the best ever. No question of who is the greatest in their respective sports with Wayne and Ali. And Tiger is certainly making a strong strong case. But all 3 of these guys not only lived up the hype, but took their sports to the next level. People will say Jordan, but no one knew he would become "Jordan". While he is right there with the other 3 he didn't have that hype as a teenager. Hell I think if you picked the top 20 college players of all time, I don't even think MJ gets on that list truthfully. Just my take. Right now Woods is the man and its kinda scary when they say he might not have even peaked yet

Slightly disrespectful to the 'Golden Bear' Jack Nicklaus imho. Jack has won 18 majors, runner-up in 19. Tiger has to beat that (and likely will do) before he can be the greatest, he has great potential, but he has to reach it first.

And Bill Gates could still buy and sell his ass.

But I don't know who I'd rather be. Gates works for a living, work that involves thinking. Tiger gets to play a sport he loves.

Yeah, I don't think he has peaked yet. It's weird. He started to spray his woods! 😛. His short game stayed great, as great as ever, and it's probably only going to get better. The only thing he can do to really blow minds now is trump himself, and I figure he will.

Jordan was the greatest basketball player ever, and at 6'6", and not especially huge of build, just a huge talent who had the drive to make himself ultimately unguardable when he was at his best. He was chosen third in the year he was drafted, so people really didn't know he would become even a franchise player.

Not even close. Schumacher is the top earning pro athlete at around $100 million/year. Tiger, just like LeBron has signed $100 million contracts but that's over several years. Schumacher is the only athlete that actually makes $70 million in endorsements/year.

you go sit in a car for 4 hours in the smallest space imaginable, with pure concentration needed, tons of exhausting, hot laps, rubber, heat everything. tell me thats not endurance. you couldnt make it for 1/2 the time

Uh, yes.

Let's look at a few points.

1) Requires physical coordination. Golf? Check. Racing? Check.

2) Requires physical endurance. Golf? Yep, gotta be on your feat for all those holes, Swing after Swing after Swing. Racing? Yep you gotta sit in a hot car for a very long period of time , turning that steering wheel all over the place, turn after turn after turn.

3) Requires the ability to visualize and make predictions about position. Golf? Yep, gotta be able to 'feel' where the ball is gonna land. Racing? Yep, gotta be able to know how the other cars are gonna move.

I'm not a racing fan, or even a sports fan. But if you're going to discount racers as athletes, you better discount golfers too, because neither sport is as physically taxing as football, baseball, soccer, rugby, tennis, and so on.

when you go up the wealth ladder there are just more stuff that you can buy, but still out of your reach.

Maybe you want that $500 50 acre mansion in the hamptons, or your own personal island in the carribeans with its own $300 m yacht that costs $1m to operate with its crew each day. Not to mention a gulfstream jet..

depends on the life you want to live. Could Bill Gates have a 20 year old bangin wife if he wanted one? Yes. Does he? Apparently not. If you're already "happily" married, does it really matter if you're good looking? Tiger Woods will go down in history for publicizing golf like no one else did, but Bill Gates... his mark is obviously much, much bigger.

If you asked the two if they would trade places, Tiger would say "no," and Bill might well say "yes."
