Ya but we had charmed life and were thin ...not fatties who afraid to go outside... had real steal high velocity merry-go-rounds, real 15 ft chain swings, could still play dodge ball, could hang out in the n-hood late summer nights w/o worring about some freak abduction so you did'nt need all that stuff to have fun. Plus we had micronots and tonka toys so tuff you could use them as skate boards. Not this plasticy "child safe" crap today toys are made out of.

PS we had an atari in 1977 and intellivision in 1979 ( those were consoles w/ games) Still hardy ever used when so much fun to have outside. Where do you live Phoenix where it's so hot you're forced to be inside all the time?
