The problem is is that they gave you acetominophen which will damage organs if mixed with alcohol and even without alcohol. Acetominophen is not an anti-inflamatory either, aspirin is though.

Next time skip the tylenol and grab a drink. At least have them give you something else, Codeine #3 with aspirin, Percodan, etc. An expensive heating pad like those used in physical therapy can also help. I'm not a doctor.

Wish you were feeling better waggy. :(

Do you have to work tomorrow? If not, I'd take another Vicodin.

daily pain meds = percocet x6 and 20mg oxycontin at night so i can sleep and not be awakened by the pain

have you talked to you docs about stronger meds? no since living in pain if you don't have too. there comes a time when you are just like "f*ck it", help out docs. maybe percocet? not as much tylenol and more pain med, or oxycontin which is just a long releasing pain med (like extended release percocet without the tylenol)

yeah. but i have a fear of takeing anything addictive.

but yeah i'm going to have to talk to him. fo r years the strongest i had was darvecet. last 2 years vicoden has nto been working much either.

part of it is i take care of my daughter and 3 month old son. Anything to strong leaves me feeling weird. so i try not to take them much. but its getting to the point i have to do it.

have to go in for a bone scan soon. then back into the Pain clinic. have to talk to him then and see what we can do.

I'm sorry to hear that waggy. My father was recently diagnosed with the beginning stages of rheumatoid arthritis. He is experiencing nagging pain. He is taking some steroids for the mean time and it has helped tremendously. Otherwise he's basically limping all over the place. I feel so bad for him since there is nothing I can do. I wish there was a cure for arthritis. I hope you're feeling better and God bless.

i totally understand about the addiction issues. not sure about your background, but taking what you have been you are possibly chemically addicted to it already. i had the same issues and the docs (family doc, neurologist, psychologist, neurosurgeon, pain managemen) all said if you are in pain then even if you become addicted once the pain is away you can get off it pretty easy. since i don't take the meds for any other reason than for pain i am not too worried abou it. on the rare days when my pain is only a 5 or 6 i will only take a couple, and there is no feeling of "i want this med for this other feeling".

but in your situation with the little ones, if you do go the stronger meds, definately see how you react - i had to go see the doc yesterday because he just moved moved me up to 3x 20mg of oxycontin daily and i was in a fog and slept for ~18hrs for 3-4 days, so i asked him to lower it down so i could be functional.

good luck and hang in there
