Cuomo was born with his left leg 44 mm (13⁄4 in) shorter than his right leg. After the success of The Blue Album, Cuomo underwent a procedure to correct the condition. This involved the surgical breaking of the bone in his leg, followed by several months of wearing a steel brace which required self-administered "stretching" of the leg four times daily; Cuomo likened the ordeal to "crucifying [his] leg."

I see nothing wrong with this. If their height causes them depression wand this fixes that, then let them have the procedure. I would even argue that insurance should cover it. Same for a woman who is depressed over small tits, insurance should pay for her fix.

A woman I worked with a few years ago told me her teenage son was taking HGH because he was only projected to be 5'4". It got a bit awkward when I told her I was 5'4". I think it's a little nuts to take the risks of a medical procedure or messing with hormones in an otherwise healthy person just because you are shorter than average. I can understand it a bit more in this guy's case who was 4'11" but it still seems extreme.

Honestly, I don't think being short is a significant disadvantage in life unless you plan on going into politics or being a CEO. I'd much rather lose the genetics lottery on height than on intelligence.
