Just kidding, I hope. Anyone missing lately?

'Batman' movie-goer brings guns, knives for 'protection'

http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-batman-arrest-20120807,0,6641095.story

A lawyer says there could be a simple explanation for why an Ohio man allegedly armed himself to the teeth for a Saturday night screening of "The Dark Knight Rises": He wanted the protection.

Scott A. Smith, 37, of North Ridgeville allegedly packed a bag with a loaded 9-millimeter Glock, extra ammunition clips and four knives for his trip to the movie theater, according to Cleveland.com.

Personally I hope they don't convict on anything but maybe an illegal weapons charge. IMO, I don't feel the searches were warranted.

I think this guy is pretty dumb. If he really felt fear then he should have not gone. I can understand having the gun and a CC license but knives too? No need for that. I have no problem with the CC gun if he has a license for it.

Sounds like some super nerdy AT poster, figuring bringing guns to a showing Batman would score him some points with the ladies.

I definitely wouldn't feel safe just tossing a Glock in a bag. Something touches that trigger and it'll go off.

A Glock, a few mags, and four knives is "armed to the teeth"? I guess I have a different definition of what "armed to the teeth" entails.

They asked, he agreed, so its warranted.

He had no license.

he needed the knives so that he could complete the picture with his glock, his blades, and his Chik Fil-A sandwich to post on the internet.

Lots of *dumb* people in this country.

Absolutely incredibly stupid.

The guy is the President-Elect of the State Bar Association and he pulls off what can only be considered a stunt that might have ended in death.

What a fecking moron and embarrassment.

Absolutely ridiculous. Glocks don't use clips, they use magazines.

They use magazines?

glocks have hair triggers?

I agree that it's not a good idea to carry it like that, but it's going to take some pressure to pull the trigger unless it's been modified.
