I guess every single case of a dog bite must be explained from the "poor doggie" point of view. It is impossible for a defenceless human being to be attacked by another creature without provoking it.
I do agree that the man was stupid for not shooting the dog. However, I also understand that we all have moments of anger where we are provoked to utter things that we do not mean and can't have the guts to do. Perhaps he said he would kill the dog because of the anger he felt at that moment but didn't intend on doing it. Nonetheless, I do think that he should have defended himself by shooting the dog. At least according to the reasoning of some posters, karma will be hitting the dog too since it will be euthanised.
Mflacy, you should know Go Punk's position on animal rights, as that would explain his position on this matter. From my recollection, he is of the opinion that animals should have rights and are being held captive by man. Perhaps it would help if you ask him directly for a background information about his position on that subject. It would help you better understand where he's coming from with his argument.

So what you are saying is that the dog wasn't necessaily turned into a mean dog because it was beaten, but it was mean on its own? I don't think the dog decided to start biting people one day because it realized it had a small penis.
