Man E3 was fun!

My friend and I went to E3 on Wednesday for a day of fun. Unfortunately work wouldn't send us all three days. I did, however, see a friend of mine announcing for a FFXI contest. Turns out that he's now the Senior Rep for Square's online community relations. Small world. 🙂 Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Two things about the link to my E3 gallery.

1. This link will stay alive as long as my bandwidth doesn't go NUTS
2. Most of the pics are of booth babes and not games. This is for a reason. Don't ask for pics of games, because I'm not sure what I can and cannot release to the public.

Steve's E3 Gallery

Enjoy it while it lasts. 😀

where do you work that sends you to E3?

We work for a company that creates memory for computers. They wanted a couple representatives to check out some of the latest greatest technology available. We drank at Gordon Biersch and took pictures with booth babes all day instead. 😀

no games no care

On my personal PC I have pics of a ton of games. However, in those same pics are signs all over the screens that say "No Photography." That's why you get no game pics! HA! 😀

Man.. It must be pretty degrading to be a booth babe.. Especially the ones that have to dress up like a video game char.

i really couldent care less about booth babes at an ELECTRONICS EXPO

going to a game expo and only takeing pics of booth babes is like going to a strip club for the food

Booth babes are part of most any product Expo. Boat shows, car shows, game shows, computer shows, etc etc etc... It's something to look forward to while checking out the latest greatest things on the market. Why wouldn't anyone complain about that?!

yes and i think booth babes at boat, car, whatever shows are stupid as well

and alot of them look like they were once men

are you guys complaining about booth babes? i think things like e3 are awesome, in that it combines by love for video games with my love of hot chicks into a single event.

Well... it's not as though they're forced into it. They're model-types, looking for a paying gig, and this fits the bill.

E3 is nerds and attractive young girls who would have nothing to do with them, outside of being paid for their appearance. Getting your picture taken with a girl at E3 is right up there in terms of geekness.

Okay, story behind you breaking the X360. Give it up.

It's not that exciting really. We were in the EA booth when it happened. I was playing Need For Speed and I hit the glowy "X" in the middle of the controller. Naturally that did exactly what it was supposed to do. The game was paused and I was taken to a menu for XBox setup options. I saw an XBox live and thought, "Hey I wanna go online with this!" That's when things got bad. As some of you may have heard the XBox 360's at the E3 show are actually being emulated on dual G5 boxes. They obviously had very little support for the options I was trying to force my way through. I chose some mixer mode and that's when the XBox froze up entirely. No buttons would work at all. That's when my friend got uncomfortable and we left EA's booth for Blizzard's. 😀

Later on the XBox was back up and running. I'm sure a simple reboot fixed it, so I didn't really "break it." Just froze it I guess...

yeah..very interesting how they are emulated on macs. Im budgeting for a mac purchase later this year

Makes sense... The new XBox runs a PowerPC processor anyway.

That said, I'm disappointed with the booth babes. Where are the "well endowed" girls with mondo clevage?
