it's a camelpak. in case he gets thirsty on the short trip down.

damn, at least wear a base jumping parachute while you do that.

The one guy had a backpack, maybe that's what it was?
yeah i saw that on the first guy as well. not sure if the second guy was the same guy but he clearly wasn't wearing one.

holy shlt. I'm kinda afraid of heights and that was painful to watch.

damn, my palm is still sweating

That is freaking hilarious. I started to get sweaty palms too! That was just insane and idiotic!!!

Mine are still sweating too.

<-- Somewhat acrophobic.

heh heh yea mine have been sweating still too. I'm not even really acrophobic, as I would kill for the chance to skydive and bungie jump. Base jumping would be pretty neat too. :D
But I do have what I call a fear of falling. Even climbing a 10ft tree, I can get nervous that I'll fall and break. The thing is, phobias are irrational. A fear of falling isn't really irrational, more or less a survival instinct. It's just super prevalent in me apparently. lol
Because I love tall roller coasters, being on top of a building doesn't bother me at all.. unless there are no railings on the side or it's not a flat roof or something. It's when I suddenly feel insecure at a height where falling could hurt or kill. If I'm secure, my mind knows I'm fine but I get adrenaline surging.. that's why rollercoasters are my crack. Build them higher dammit! I need more, they don't do for me now what they did when each one was new! :D

But yea, I've gotta work on that though, because there have already been things I've had to do for training that have definitely pushed me. But strangely enough, I have pure confidence in myself when I'm training and don't really fear falling, because I concentrate so much on success or trying to be the best at a certain activity. My competitive nature overrules my fears apparently. :)

thats just a backpack - its just slung over his shoulders. a parachute pack needs to be more secure if youre pulling it from a freefall of 100-200mph

Haha, I didn't think that the 2nd guy could get back up either. Not exactly your average set of monkey bars.

Give me a climbing harness and a safety rope and I'd do it.
Plus a parachute, a helicopter, and maybe a good sedative. The sedative would knock me out completely, the safety rope would hold me, and the parachute would have a G-sensor, so if it detected a fall for a certain time period, it would deploy. This way, I'd be reasonably safe, and not conscious to endure it.

that defeats the purpose.
I'd do it if I had a parachute pack on for base jumping. This, of course, only after mastering base jumping. :p

Apparently it's to chop him to bits while he blissfully falls through the propellers?

In the air, hovering. Duh. It would do something, and that something would be totally awesome and daring and amazing. Maybe it'd be on standby in case the parachute didn't deploy properly. Or else it'd be there with an HD camera to record the whole wonderful affair.

My palms got sweaty watching that. With a harness, I'd definitely do it, though I'd be shitting my pants. Without one it's too risky. I'd hope that they at least used some chalk or something to absorb moisture from their hands.

Lol, same here! Man what an idiot, and it looks like they actually climbed out all the way to the end of the crane as well. Makes me wonder about the camera guy since he's only got 1 hand to hold on to the crane with... unless it's a helmet cam.

Man, now the wrist rest on my keyboard is wet....
