Gotta love those CompUSA pukes(not meant for all that work there, just those that have no decency, or common sense for that matter). I was exchanging a camera I had a slight issue with, and decided that when they asked if I wanted the TAP plan(2 year repair or
replacement plan), that I would get it. I decided this because I had already had a slight
"issue" with it, that could be construed as my fault had I needed to return it to the
company directly using the warrenty. Anyhow, I paid the $60, which I found to be
extremely high, but since I hadn't bought any of those types of plans before, I just figured
it was my cheap self being frugal. So I get home and was checking out more prices on
thier site, and decided to see what exactly my plan covered. I went to the page where my
camera was and pressed the link entitled "two-year walk in repair policy", or something
similar, and then I noted the price. $29.99 . They had charged me double thinking that
they would get away with it, since they make most of their money on commission from
those plans. Do any of you for one minute think that they made a mistake, or do you, like me, think they tried to pull one over on me?

[EDIT]I did end up going back to the store and getting my $30 back, for those that care.

definitely give them a call tomorrow.

If they give you crap, threaten to return the camera and warranty.

Don't mind me, i'm just trying to make the message so it's not hard to read, but i'm a retard.

I already went back there and got my money back, but I did keep the plan, because it is VERY usefull with a camera.

Also, the manager was the one who did the refund, and of course he acted like they made a mistake. I should also mention that I bought the camera originally in one place, then took it back to another because the original didn't have any left (Canon a70 digital camera-nothing wrong with camera build, just owner clumbsiness), and I decided to get the plan when I took the first one back. After taking it back and buying the plan, I got home, which was 60 miles from where I bought the plan and returned the camera, only to find they screwed me, so I took it up with the original store I bought the original camera at. Confusing?

Heh? I bought the plan earlier today, at around 2pm, then at about 5pm noticed I had been screwed. I then drove to compusa and got my money back. Where did you get 6 minutes from?

6 minutes between post times. Means he had 6 minutes to drive to CompUSA, have them credit him then run home to post on AT. Unless he posted after he got his money back, which then should have been in the original post...

You didn't get screwed. How is someone making a mistake then rectifying it getting screwed? They charged you twice, corrected the situation and you still sit here and bitch...

They didn't rectify it at the original store first of all. I went to the one closest to me, which isn't where I bought the plan. Not that they wouldn't have, but wasting an hour of my time is screwing me in my mind, but whatever. My mistake for not making it clear that I had got my money back. Also, they didn't really charge me twice. The price of the plan is $29.99, they charged me $59.99, and even the manager where I had it rectified insinuated that the guy who sold the plan did it purposely.
