The paper aluded that he was going to plead Temporary Insanity (I think that's what it's called in the US, things like that work a little differently North of the Border). I certainly hope he doesn't get off on that sick little hook...

Do they have something there equalling what's called 'TBS' here? It basically means that you you get locked up for a non-specified time in a special, extra secure place and get treated for mental illness. _If_ they think you aren't mentally ill (anymore), they can still lock you up in a regular prison afterwards. It's not quite like a mental hospital, more a home for the criminally insane. (Think you guys call that Congress?)
