I wasn't going 182. I'd hit 170 and was cruising at that but the guy's radar was mis-calibrated. Total ripoff. Hardly anyone was even on the road and that piggy busted my ass. I'm safe as heck at 170 anyway. Damn cops!!

why didn't u slam on your gas and get to 180-190 i don't think cop would have any chances of catching u or even radio in where u got off the road

Running in a Diablo, not smart.

If you're going to run, do it on a sport bike. At least then you have a chance.

I was talking to a State Trooper about speeding ... he said if you are going over 140, he isn't even going to pull out. He cannot catch you and does not want to put anyone else at risk. He said he has had 3 people go by him at 160+. He radio'd it in, but none of them were ever caught. A 512TR, a Viper, and a 911 Turbo.

You could defintely out run a cop in a Diablo.

There's a big difference between no pursuit & outrunning.

If it comes to true pursuit, however, I wouldn't try on anything less than a sport bike.

I wouldn't even try it on a sport bike. Sport bike + evading cops at triple digit speeds often = organ donor 😀

Heh, there wouldn't be enough left to donate after an accident like that. It'd be mush/road paint. 🙂

I think I've read somewhere that police won't continue a high speed chase with a motorcycle due to the high possibility that the rider would end up dead. Don't quote me on that, though..

all the more reason to chase the rider, at least he wont be a repeat offender then

Holy crap they took his car. That would piss me off the most. I guarantee you he will get that $260,000 car back!

the bail probably took into account that they already had his 260k car

sweet! somebody's gotta try to cancel out all the slow ass old people we have to drive behind on a daily basis, haha

Carbon County Man Arrested After High Speed Chase
35-year-old William Faenza of Andreas faces charges for DUI, reckless endangerment and eluding police after leading officers on a high speed chase through Carbon County Sunday.
Mahoning Township police clocked Faenza going 182 miles per hour in a 55 mile an hour zone. Faenza was driving a 1997 Lamborghini Diablo, a $260,000 sports car.
Officers caught up with Faenza after he stopped along Route 443. He and his passenger was taken into custody. Faenza is free on $450 bail. The car was confiscated and taken into safe keeping.

"We'll just keep that Diablo safe for you. Thanks."
Follow up story: PA State Trooper injured in single car accident after he lost control of a 1997 Diablo on the State Police's driver training course....

Whoa .. I'm still amazed at how the cops can keep up with the Diablo, must have taken them a long time to reach that guy caught behind traffic.

BTW, i didnt know chemist can make so much money?

If he wasn't drunk this would have been awesome....I know a kid who got pulled over doing 160 in a 65 on a sportbike...I always told him he'd be godly if he tripled the speedlimit

He invented/patented a couple of useful technologies and sold his company for millions.

The DUI was pretty stupid and he shouldn't have tried to elude, but otherwise 😀
