He put it in his yard, so people would see it. The daughter gave him exactly what he wanted.

Are there any pictures of what his backyard faces? The orientation and that it's not in the frontyard would indicate that it was primarily intended for the wife, not the world.

The article says what he said it was for. You could read it.

The sculpture faces next door and can be seen clearly from his ex-wife's windows

...

A Michigan man has erected a giant bronze sculture of a hand with its middle finger raised in the direction of his neighbor - who also happens to be his ex-wife.

...

Alan Markovitz, 59, a Detroit strip-club entrepreneur, erected the 12-foot-high, spot-lit sculpture in the backyard of his lakefront Orchard Lake home.

uh-huh

I haven't posting a single thing about the woman that could remotely be construed as a defense. The only thing I've posted about her is her name.

If you can't read more carefully, please add me to your ignore list. TIA

Well except the below...

So he says. Not sure how much faith I can put in a guy who puts the bird in his front yard, tho.

I think trying to claim that the man might be lying about the adultery constitutes a defense of the woman.

So does taking his word for it without any independent confirmation constitute hatred of all women?

Or are we just working the old double standard here?

I ain't your mama.

You don't seem to understand how arguments work. I made a clear claim and backed it with two quotes from the article supporting it, and one that disfavors yours. If you think there exists something else in the article in the contrary to everything I have already posted, the burden lies on you to post it.

So you believe what's in the article when it suits you, but the part about her being a cheating whore is BS? Well that's mighty fucking convenient isn't it?

Not my job to reprint the article for you. If not reading the full story works for you, don't.

When the article gives a direct quote from a person about their own motives, I have no reason to doubt it. When he wants to tell stories about someone he clearly has a grudge against, they're stories until independently confirmed.

Just like the guy who said I'm defending the wife. It's easy to ignore the truth, if you're so inclined.

From the pictures we see it looks like only they, the two women, can see it and maybe the people on the other side a bit but not as much from where it's placed and how the lake line is.

So unless you were on a boat no one is going to be able to see it so it looks very private.

It looks to me like someone didn't even bother reading the story they posted:

Markovitz tells Fox 2's Randy Wimbley his plan was to get even the ex-wife's new lover, and never meant for the matter be made public. However, it soon grabbed local attention when the ex-wife's daughter posted a picture of the statue on twitter.

Before you complain about someone not reading the story you should do the same thing. :p

Then why hasn't he taken it down? Because he's selling books and a reality show, that's why.

And you don't get even with anyone by putting a statue in your own yard. That's just silly.

So what's stopping the ex-wife from building a high wall between the houses so she doesn't see it? Agreed, that guy is a douche.

Or because his intention all along was to spite his ex-wife, which I quoted multiple times in the original op. As of tonight, your new legal name is Nikolette. Have fun lying to appear eternally correct on a forum where no one likely really gives a shit.

He doesn't have to take it down as it's on his property and he didn't leak the story as he kept it private.

He was selling that stuff long before this story was posted so this has nothing to do with them.

And you don't get even with anyone by putting a statue in your own yard. That's just silly.

Except he has gotten even now by letting the world know his wife is a cheater because she caused the story to become public thus it's her own fault.

Just stop as it's clear you are a man hater from this and various other threads and no matter what is said you will defend the woman even when she brings it upon herself and you act like she is the victim.

That would work until he builds a pillar for it to sit on 20 feet tall.

Read the comments.

Don't take them as gospel, but think twice about what kind of guy he is.

I am not going to read that giant wall of text story or comments that anyone can post much like we see in youtube these days but even more anonymous but he is a strip club owner so no one was saying he was a saint.
