The slob should have just cleaned his house. They probably would have just gone away.... Who the hell has ants in the winter time anyway?? That's a summer thing...

The only reason I could think of for an ant problem in the winter, is a carpenter ant infestation. House was already doomed.

I had a spring/summer ant problem in one apartment I had. Fuckers made a beeline into the kitchen for like 2 months and then disappeared. Joint was clean, I had a cleaning lady come every month and take care of the joint and I took care of it in the meantime. Nothing burned down.

He probably needed to use hand sanitizer, burns hot enough to kill inspects, but will not your house on fire.

Jeez just use raid. Then find out where they are coming from. If it's something as bad as fire ants I could understand the desire to use lots of fire, but do it outside! :confused:

The part that gets me about this story is that he used wooden matches to try and burn the ants. That goes beyond mere stupidity.
