The screening staff at the x-ray counter should be fired, along with their immediate supervisor. The dude with the gun should pay a hefty fine for his idotic mistake and have his firearm permit revoked for 5 years.
 
i hope that they prosetcute (sp?) him and not let him off

i have also heard by listening to the radio that the the people that get fined by the faa hardly ever pay
and that faa dont follow up on them by collection agency or by filing a suit

btw are the employies fedral or employed by fedral workers?

I don't think anyone thinks terrorism will be defeated permanently, but we must have deterrents to keep people from *attempting* actions against our liberties. Whether it's an attempt to kill a single person, or thousands.
