Man attempts suicide by crashing car [pics]...

My parents heard the crash at 8:30 am. The vehicle hit the brick planter and took flight, snapping a tree in half before hitting the side of a local bar. The point of impact was the bar's sign, "One Eyed Jack's." You can see the vehicle was inches away from going through the window.

The driver was not killed; there were no other passengers. He was taken to a local hospital were he is currently in critical care. My dad knew the driver quite well. Apparently he had been suffering from some mental illness for years and was attempting suicide.

Now, this is a completely retarded way to top yourself. He could have killed another motorist, pedestrian, or even an occupant of the bar. People, if you're going to end it, do it in the privacy of your own home.

Kind of reminds me of an accident I witnessed on the highway when a driver apparently fell asleep, ran off the side of the road, and launched his car over an on-ramp and into the side of a hill.
