Man arrested for DUI on motorized bar stool

MARCH 31--In a law enforcement first, Ohio cops this month arrested a man for drunk driving on a motorized bar stool. That's right, a motorized bar stool, which can be seen below in a police evidence photo. According to cops, Kile Wygle, 28, crashed his bar stool near his Newark home earlier this month and called 911 due to his injuries. When an officer arrived and asked Wygle what happened, he answered, "I wrecked my bar stool." According to a Newark Police Division report, a copy of which you'll find here, Wygle's homemade ride is powered by a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower engine. Wygle noted that the bar stool could hit nearly 40 miles per hour, but that he was only going 20 when he wiped out late in the afternoon on March 4 (a witness told police that he spotted someone driving a "strange motorized machine" before the crash). A plastered Wygle, who failed a series of field sobriety tests, was charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license, both misdemeanors. His bar stool was not impounded.

They have licenses for motorized bar stools????

I believe that qualifies as a motor vehicles. And if he's driving on a public road, it would qualify as drunk driving.

hahaha, that's great. I can't believe he called 911.

A roomate of mine back in college had a car with onstar in it. One night he crashed his car into a tree by accident when he was drunk. Can you guess what happened? He was attempting to drive his totaled vehicle home when the cops that onstar called arrived and proceeded to give him a DUI

See morons like this give the rest of us in Ohio a bad name.

for the love of god at least give the damn thing a decent paint job....something black with flames would have been nice, or paint it like the General Lee.

I would have at least painted it Scarlet & Grey.

He was probably drunk on Old Milwaukee......jack ass.

I've been to Ohio, nothing can save it. This bar stool vehicle is awesome though.

A buddy of mine in college got DUI while riding a bicycle. He knew he was in no shape to drive so he borrowed a bike to ride home and got picked up on the way. Oddly enought that was in Ohio as well. When it happened we did some research and you can get a DUI in most states on a bicycle.

The police report looks like it was written by a child. A dumb child, at that. Is that really what passes these days?

I'm not sure whether I feel pity for this guy or whether I should just laugh at him.

How about we take up a collection for the reporting officer's education instead? The guy can barely read or write, it seems.

I'm sorry, but when a police report looks that atrocious, I wonder what else the officer doesn't know how to do properly.
